Fall Festivals around the Southeast

Moonshiners Reunion Festival in Campobello, SC

This annual celebration of the moonshining days of the 30's and 40's starts Thursday October 2nd and runs through Saturday, October 4th. The inspiration for this festival is local musician Barney Barnwell who was inspired to write a number of songs based the stories he was told. He was also instrumental in getting South Carolina Educational Television to make a documentary about the moonshining days of the South Carolina foothills. You'll also find authentic Southern Heritage vendors selling hand-made brooms, soap, wood-carvings, etc.
