Wearable Products Made in the South

Lalabu

Based in Atlanta, GA and 100% made in the USA, Lalabu shirts were inspired by the women of Burkina Faso and the way they carry their babies Lalabu is a shirt that your baby will fit right inside of and even has a built in nursing bra to make breastfeeding easier when in public. This wearable apparatus is perfect for women who aspire to raise their children in the Attachment Parenting manner.

 Cause and Effect

Hand-crafted in Tennessee Cause and Effect belts and bracelets are made by a single man - Billy Moore. He employs various techniques for aging his products and giving them a one of a kind look. Whether it be aging the leather he uses that is sourced from American tanneries in a river bed or banging on it with a river rock, or both, his belts and metal accessories are made with passion; something that far too many products these days are made without. He forges, molds, bends, pounds and assembles his own buckles and bracelets by hand as well and thus the elements of the wilderness around him come out clear in his products and show distinctly on the one who wears them.

 Julie Bee's shoes

Frustrated that she couldn't find sustainable, affordable shoes to wear to work and nights out on the town in Atlanta, Julie Brown built a strong team around her that believed in her mission, created a Kickstarter campaign and raised $22,000 to launch her Fall 2013 production. Using vegetable dyes, recycled and vintage materials Julie B's is able to make shoes without a dumping tons of chemicals into our rivers and streams as well as saving some of our valuable natural resources. Her fashion forward and cleverly named designs include - the New York Coral Leather Pump, the Miami Black Leather Heel, the Atlanta Black/Multi Snake Flat, the Key West Pink Sandal and many more!

Raleigh Denim

Hand Crafted in Raleigh, North Carolina and made from denim made in North Carollina, Raleigh Denim is not cheap, but if you were to purchase pair of these passionately made jeans you likely wouldn't have to purchase another pair for quite a long time. This company was started back in '07 by husband and wife duo Victor and Sarah Lytvinenko. They learned how jeans used to made many years ago by apprenticing with former factory workers, pattern-makers and mechanics around their state, found some equipment and now here they are - Their have a store not only in Raleigh, but also in New York City and their jeans are sold nationwide at places like Barney's and Nordstrom.

Black & Denim

While many might not even consider Tampa, FL the South, it is technically in the South and so is Black & Denim. Started by Roberto Torres, Luis Montanez and Chris Findeisen back in 2008 their looks are not only inspired by the classic American styles of James Dean's Rebel Without A Cause, but they are also American made with 100% American raw materials. Their apparel is carried in Epcot Center's American-Made exhibition and they recently achieved their dream of opening a flagship store in Tampa's Ybor City neighborhood. With products ranging from bow-ties to leather totes to jeans, T's and more they have products for every taste - especially those of us who are fashion forward.
