Manta
by Connor Simpson, Alabama



This sort of interstellar flick explores the darker parts of the human psyche when left isolated and alone in an alien world.





Writer and director Connor Simpson is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelors in Telecommunications and film and a minor in digital art. He enjoys pale ales.

Juggalo Afternoon
by Jonathan Novick, Georgia

Surprisingly entertaining, this film was shot with an ordinary camera and is a collection of still frames. To many, a day of skipping school sounds a little mundane, but to these young ladies - it's a right of passage and a declaration of their independence in small town Northwest Georgia.



Jonathan Novick is a New Jersey born transplanted Southerner whose work is inspired by John Waters and Werner Herzog and more. He resides in Atlanta, GA and enjoys watching Maury Povich with his red dachshund Spartacus.

The Picture in the House

An incredibly reserved fellow goes for a stroll and suddenly a storm comes out of nowhere. He goes for shelter and the house he happens upon just might cost him his life.



Based out of Nashville, Sean Quillen studied directing at the Nashville Film institute and it not only a filmmaker but a photographer and video editor as well. He's made commercials, and videos for local events as well.

The Cemetery of Life
Siam J. Manuels, Tennessee

A long forgotten about cemetery in Knoxville, Tennesee has a story to tell, but if not rehabilitated, like many of the other historic cemeteries in the area have been, the legacy of these brave soldiers may be lost forever.



Award winning filmmaker Siam J. Samuels is originally from The Democratic Republic of Congo, but is now based in Knoxville, Tennessee. His films range from full-length dramas, to dramatic shorts to documentaries highlighting America's florid past.

Pickin' & Trimmin'

There's not a heck of a lot going on in Drexel, North Carolina. But, there is a barbershop and through it pass some of the finest bluegrass pickers in the world. This short documentary was an official selection at over 2 dozen international film festivals.



Matt Morris is a film maker based out of Napa, CA. He is a filmmaker and a photographer. He work has been featured in various media outlets including NPR and Gizmodo.

Mario vs Minecraft
Andrew and Matthew McMurry, Arkansas

Shot in the woods of Pulaski county, Arkansas this short attempts to answer a question proposed by countless gamers across the world.



Based out of Roland, Arkansas, cousins Andrew and Matthew McMurry make sci-fi films based on not only video games, but legendary toys and other subject matter to make one's imagination run wild.
